I’m a broadcaster and writer from Kirkcudbright, right on the Solway coast in the South-West of Scotland.
After graduating with honours from the University of Paisley, I spent eight years working in commercial radio for the Bauer group – four of them as host of the region’s most-listened to show. In 2012, I decided to turn down a new contract to try some new challenges.
I went on to work for several years as a producer and newsreader at BBC Radio Scotland. I was a regular co-presenter on the John Beattie Show, covered for the great Iain Anderson and talked about football on Sportsound.
Nowadays, I’m loving life as a reporter for STV, covering Ayrshire.
I also continue to write for Dumfries & Galloway Life Magazine, host events and have spoken all over the country at Burns Suppers.
